The National Network of Diagnostic Laboratories
for Mitochondrial Diseases

Created in 2000, MitoDiag gather all French laboratories for diagnosis of mitochondrial diseases. The different actions improve the diagnosis and the patient care by sharing practices and knowledges on mitochondrial genetic abnormalities.


2000 : Creation of the network at the initiative of Joël LUNARDI, Anne LOMBES and Jean-Pierre MAZAT (AFM-INSERM)
2018 : Creation of the name and the logo MitoDiag
2019 : Conception of the MitoMatcher database
2021 : Creation and hosting of the Mitomatcher database on a secure LAMP server
2022 : Planning on opening the querying application to all memebers of MitoDiag after data sharing authorization by the CNIL
